Cristianos en la Mira, Los que tuvimos la bendición de nacer en un hogar Cristiano siempre que escuchamos hablar de persecución religiosa en Colombia, recordamos a los abuelo hablándonos de cómo los gobiernos Conservadores y los gobiernos de facto no les permitían la predicación en las plazas públicas, por que los dirigentes religiosos o miembros de la Iglesia tradicional de los pueblos consideraban que el "Cristianismo" o los "evangélicos" como ellos nos llamaban, estaban locos.
Fue muy normal para mi, siendo un niño, terminar en una plaza pública de Colombia bañado en "orines" y tener que pedir permiso en un lugar, que no era muy fácil de comseguir para poder limpiarnos, pues mientras predicábaos alguien desde algún lugar nos había lanzado el escremento que había recogido durante todo el día para esperar nuestra llegada. Aún conservo como trofeo en mi cabeza tres hermosos puntos, por una predicación en un populoso barrios de una ciudad colombiana, no fueron menos las agresiones físicas patrocinadas por el sacerdote del lugar que azuzaba a los fieles para que nos maltrataran cuando yo sólo tenía once años de edad, nada de eso impidió nuestra predicación.
Pero quien iba a creer, cuando cualquiera diría que esto se acabó, que el estatuto de libertad religiosa, que las leyes de igualdad de cultos predicada por la Carta Magna nos permitiría librarnos de esta ignominia, hoy los atropellos son mayores.
Nos enfrentamos a Estado impotente e indiferente, incapaz de hacer respetar nuestros derechos, las estadísticas son muy dicientes, 62 templos cerrados en el Meta y en el GUaviare, 400 templos cerrados en el país, 51 pastores asesinados y muchos de nosotros con una lápida en el cuello, 3000 Cristianos desplazados sólo en el Guaviare por las FARC, sin contar los templos que han sido volados por las ppetas de gas, y muchos Cristianos desplazados de Córdoba pr los paramilitares, un Estado que conserva tradiciones que le impiden ver con claridad para hacer cumplir la ley y que no ha podidoasumir la igualdad que plantea, muchos de nuestros hermanos ni siquiera son incluidos en las listas de desplazados porque en esta regiones la curia es quien se encarga de esta labor, de hecho no son apoyados con las ayudas que eventualmente el gobierno envía y en algunos casos frente a la solicitud la única respuesta es "Ustedes tienen pastores, que les ayuden ellos" no ayudan, pero tampoco permiten que esa ayuda sea canalizada a través de nosotros.
Una violencia que no sólo busca taparnos la boca, sino callarnos definitivamente, pues para los promotores de la guerra el no apoyar sus ideas, sus masacres, sus acciones guerreristas, la violación de los Derechos Humanos, es estar en contra del cambio.
Pues sí estamos a favor del cambio, sólo que lo concebimos sobre el principio del amor, del respeto de los Derechos Humanos, de la libertad de expresar las opiniones por difusas que parezcan. Nunca apoyaremos un cambio que deje tras sí una historia de muerte.
Seguiremos predicando el Evangelio, como en su tiempo lo hicieron los mártires de nuestra fe, de quienes la Biblia dice "Estos hombres, de los cuales el mundo no era digno" (Hebreos 11:38), sin importarnos que nos tengan en la mira.

Christians as a Target, Thos of us who enjoy the blessing of having been born within a Christian home remember ouor grandparents telling us about religious persecution. They refer how governments belonging to the Conservative Political Party did not allow preaching the Gosspel in places open to the general public as it opposed the interest of the traditional church leaders who considered the Chrsitians or "evangelists", as they called us, as nuts.
As a child it became common stanced getting showered with urine or fesses. Somebody from some unknown place had troubled himself collecting body dispossals throughout the day before our arrival, then waited long enough for the right time to cast their 'collection' to us, just as we were delivering the Lord's word. I still have, as testimony, three beautiful styitches on my head they pose as an award for preaching in a populous neigborghood in a Colombian city. Physical agression estimulated by local priests were of no lesser extent. They antagonized their pilgrims against us I was eleven years of age at the timeand can say that none of these hindered our preaching the gosspel.
But who would have believed it? A day as any all of these came to an end. The statute of religious freedom vanished the nightmare. The laws enacting equal rights, to choose one's own faith proclaimed by a reformed national constitution vanished the ignominious cast. Today the State of the Art is worst.
We face an impotent and indifferent State. Incapable to uphold our rights. Statistics are elocuent, 62 temples have been closed in the departments of Meta and Guaviare. 400 have been shut down in the country as a whole. 51 pastors have been murdered. Most of us literally, walk around with a tombstone tided to our necks. 3000 Chrisitans have been outsted from their homes by FARC in the Department of GUaviare, let alone temples destroyed by gas cylinders used as medium range shells and the forceful displacement of people in the department of Cordoba caused by the Paramilitary. We have an State incapable of getting rid of the blindfall of tradition. Unable to uphold the Constitutional Law making equality before the law a far to reach dream. Many of our displaced brothers by faith have not even been included in the list of displaced people, this is due to the fact that Catholic Priests are in charge of this chore, therefore not elligible for social benefits, When athe displace manage to make their voices heard the only answers they get is: " you have pastors who can help you. Go to them". The authorities don't help, neither do they allow us to deliver aid we can furnish.
There is here an ongoing flow of violence trying to shut down our mouths for ever. War Baros cannot bear our stance as peaceful thinkers against any war action, human rights defenders on behalf lawful social change.
We are all for Social Change conceived under the principles of love, equality before the law, with due respect of human rights encompassing the freedom to air own opinios as difuse as it may be. We will never support any type of change built on a trail of dead corpses.
We shall continue preaching the Gosspel as in due time the martyrs of our faith didi it, those whom the Bible proposes: "of whom the world was not worthy" (Hebrews 11:38) we could not care less if we are or aren't a war target.
